March 2008 Archives
If you read my last post, you already know what happened regarding my attempt at viewing "Rhino Nights" ...
Anyway, for a brief 15 minutes, I was mesmerized by the movement of the rhinos. It made me think about how the rhinos I am used to seeing are in still photographs. I loved the way they spun around, practically in mid-air - in a splite second! The sounds they made were wonderful, too.
The rhinos were immense - and so unexpectedly graceful!
What beautiful creatures! Who couldn't love a rhino?

What happened, Animal Planet? "Rhino Nights" was scheduled to air, according to the Discovery/Animal Planet website, on Sunday, March 2nd at 7:00 PM e/p.
Note the "e/p".
Does that, or does that NOT, mean that "Rhino Nights" will indeed be on at 7:00 PM Pacific Standard Time??
Well! Let me tell you how DISAPPOINTED I was at 4:50 PM PST, and my husband calls out to me from downstairs, "Hey, your rhino show is almost over" AND when I went to check the guide (thinking it would be on again at 7:00 PM) as per the Animal Planet website schedule - and it was NOT ON AT ALL FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT.
Knowing that the shows are often repeated, I checked the website again to see when "Rhino Nights" would be on again. Tuesday, March 5th, 8 AND 11 PM "p".
Guess what!! I completely forgot about it - and remembered only when the show was nearly over! At least I got to see the last 15 minutes (which was enchanting) - I am really excited to see the entire show ...
But, according to the schedule online, it is SUPPOSED to be on AGAIN at 11:00 PM - but the onscreen guide (didn't this used to be known as the "TV Guide"?) says OTHERWISE.
My next opportunity to see "Rhino Nights" (according the website) is March 9 at 2 PM "p".
Does that mean 2:00 PM?
Does that mean 5:00 PM?
Does that mean 11:00 AM???
I will check the TV at each of those times and report back on my findings.
Note the "e/p".
